Driving a MINI is an exhilarating experience with the agile handling and go-kart ride style, and driving a fully electric MINI Cooper EV increases the exhilaration thanks to the immediate acceleration and impressive instant torque. MINI of South Miami near Kendall and Cutler Bay is the top spot to check out the impressive MINI Cooper Electric and learn more about the upcoming MINI electric vehicles.
The MINI Cooper SE ELectric Vehicle
MINI offers one electric vehicle, appropriately named the MINI Electric. This fun-to-drive vehicle has two doors, seating for four, and front-wheel drive. It is a great electric car for driving around town, as the MINI Cooper EV range is about 114 on a full charge. The MINI Electric has a single electric motor and a 28.9-kWh battery pack that delivers 181 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque.
It’s easy to charge the MINI Cooper SE with a standard household outlet or a Level 2 outlet. It’s also possible to charge the MINI Cooper Electric with a Level 3 DC fast charging station. Charging with a household outlet takes about 24 hours, while a Level 2 takes about eight hours to charge the MINI EV. A Level 3 DC fast charger needs about 40 minutes to fill up the battery.
The MINI Cooper SE is available in three trims: Classic, Signature, and Iconic. The entry-level Classic comes well-equipped with synthetic leather upholstery and heated front seats. The 8.8-inch touchscreen has Apple CarPlay, navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and a six-speaker audio system. The interior design includes the iconic round touchscreen, ambient lighting, and other cheeky features that have a true British style.
The standard safety features on all electric MINI models include Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Departure Warning, and a Rearview Camera.
